Country PowerPoint Presentation

Note: This project may require some research time outside of school. However, the majority of the assignment, if you manage your time properly, can be completed entirely during keyboarding class.

Note to Parents: This project is a world geography/ keyboarding class project.

Rubric

Presentations will begin June 4, 2007.

Your PowerPoint will include the following:

~Title Slide
-This slide will have:
country name
national capital
national flag
national language

~Maps of your country
-A “close up” map of your country
-A global reference map of your country

~Government
-Type of government
-Name of current ruler
-How they choose the ruler in your assigned country

~Economy
-8 Economic Activities common in your country
-Gross National Product AKA Gross Domestic Product
-Per Capita GNP (GDP)
-Name of currency + at least two pictures of the currency
-Value of the currency in U.S. Dollars

~Climate and Environment
-Type of climate/ climates are common in your country
-The names of the major rivers, deserts, mountains, and/or lakes.
(You will probably want to look at a physical map to find this)
-Ex.:How much of your country is covered by the rainforest?

~Food
-3 dishes that are common/ invented in your country
-Provide a picture of at least 2 of your dishes
-EXTRA POINTS: Include the recipe for your local dishes

~Tourism (3 Slides total)
-3 Tourist spot slides. ONE LOCATION PER SLIDE
-Each tourism slide will include:
-At least 1 picture of the tourist spot
-Describe why someone would want to visit there.
